Tats?

So for about 2 years now I have been debating on getting a tattoo. My sisters my mom and I were all going to go 2 summers ago and get the same tattoo of a 4 leaf clover. Mine was going to be on the back of my neck or on my wrist. For some reason that didn't ever end up happening.

So I am contemplating ( I know.. big word. Go me.) on getting one on my own... but I don't want to get one on my own and then my sisters and my mom decide to go and get a matching one because I don't ever want to get more then one.

So here is my issue.. Well.. I have a lot of issues. Ha. Im funny

But seriously.

Here is where I need help. Each one of these words means something really personal to me. ( well all but BEAUTY.. I just like the symbol hehe) I know that I want to get a Chinese Symbol for one of these words I just need help deciding which one...

PEACE

FAITH

BEAUTY

HOPE

BELIEVE

When I was in Disneyland last year with Johanna we went and got henna tattoos and I got the symbol for Peace

Obviously I would not get it that big on my neck but I really like it! Help me decide! I hate making decisions on my own! I really like it when others make them for me =)

St George Or Bust

MEAGEN AND I WENT ON A WEEKEND GET.UH.WAY!

We rented our selves a car ( and it was automatic which was uh mazing because we both have gotten so sick of driving sticks.) Anyway, we rented a car and put our butts and luggage ( which was a LOT because we are NOT light packers) and we were off!!! ... Oh yeah.. We also put the dog Tonka in the car. ( He had more luggage then I did!)

Tonka did so good in the car! We were a little bit worried that maybe there was something wrong with him because he was behaving so good.

Anyway.. Moving on. We got there in about 4 hours... We made a pretty log pit stop at a gas station called LOVES.. we had stop and take pictures becuase that is our little sisters new last name! Yay for the LOVES!

The first night we got there Meagen went out to dinner with a friend who was also there and I stayed in the hotel with Tonka becuase I was super sick with the bronchitis that I am still fighting. And losing horribly by the way.

The next day we got up and went to breakfast at a place called the Bear Claw. It was recommed by someone Meagen knows. It was really good.. the one thing I didn't like about it was that the tables are so close together you feel like you are eating with everyone else at the restraunt. I swear we sat by the meanest people ever. And I can be pretty mean so that is saying alot.

And the sign that you see in the picture that says BUTTS HERE.. There was an actual toilet that was there that people put their nasty cigs in. . . Seriously. See.....

After breakfast we went and got ready to lay out by the pool... I was CRAVING the sun. It was so nice to just lay out by the pool and relax. It was awesome. I could not have been happier just laying out in the sun listening to my iPod. Ooo.. I love the sun.

I also had fun playing in the pool....

Until I looked down and saw how Sicknast the pool was. Then I got the H out of there.

We went out to lunch at this sandwhich place called Jimmy Johns.. or Johnny Jims... something I don't know. We drove around for like 20 minutes looking for this place only to find that there was one litteraly right next door to our hotel. DOH! Anyway. I love Sandwhiches. I could live off of Sub Sandwhiches. I could eat one for every meal of the day.... ohhh.... Sandwhich.. Yum. Anyway this Jim Johns place was awesome. It was totally a place for me. I mean check this out!

Yeah.. totally my kind of place.

The trip was awesome and it was so nice to get a way. I had so much fun with my sister Meagen and I just wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel wanted us to leave because we had a dog in a room that was not pet friendly. They called us the night before we left at 11:45 and asked us to move rooms... Uhh... yeah I DON'T THINK SO!

The drive home went by really fast. It always takes forever when your driving there but when your driving home it goes by so quickly only becuase you don't want to be home.

The only bad part about the trip was that I got really sun burnt... but only on my legs.. and I mean bad sun burn. And my bronchitis was really really bad I coughed all weekend long. I had a cough syrup that was suppose to help it.... I am only suppose to take it every 12 hours.... I thought it said every 4 to 6 hours.. hehe.. so I take a little bit to much. But it still didn't help.

I ended up in the ER a few days after we got home. I went up to Ogden for a baseball game and ended up having to have someone drive me home becuase I was so sick. When I went into the ER I showed him my ankles and how SWOLLEN then were... he said it was because of my sunburn and he pushed his finger into my leg and it made a huge dent in it becuase their was so much fluid under my leg... hahah siiiiiiiiick dude. I couldn't breath very well so they did some albuterol treatment.. it helped for like a day and now I am Coughy Mcougherson again.

Bronchitis Blows.

The Do's and Do not's of Baseball

I go to a lot of baseball games... how else would I have been able to create an entire blog post of Dos and Donts of Baseball... I don't make this up people. I also consider myself to be pretty baseball savey... savy... savey?? Whatever. There for I am allowed to make these lists.

THE DO NOTS OF BASEBALL

  • It does not matter if you are on a first date.. with friends.. boyfriend/girlfriend.. it doesnt matter who you are with... if you do not know about baseball do not talk about it like you do.. For EXAMPLE: " The "R" on the Scoreboard stands for how many runners are on the field and the "H" means how many homeruns have been hit." Need another Example? "Because its a tie the game is now in overtime" EEEEEEEE WRONG!

  • Do not bring a baseball glove to a game if you plan on sitting BEHIND the protective net. If you are wanting to catch a foul ball... then nut up and sit where you just might be hit by a foul ball and could actually catch a ball in that glove of yours.

  • If you plan on eating Sunflower Seeds or Peanuts then spit the shells into a bag, cup, spitune, whatever but do not leave the shells on the ground. It is disrespectful and no one wants to walk in that crap.

  • To all the pitchers in the bull pen if you are going to give out a " Scotty to Hottie" award... when putting your phone number on the ball for the girl to call you... do not put that the ball is from " # 9 " ... put your name.. because if the girl decides to call you she sure as hell is not going to call you #9.

  • If you are going to chew.... well nevermind.. just don't. chewing is discustingly discusting.

  • I support hecklers.. .Its not Baseball without hecklers but if you are going to heckle... do NOT and I repeat DO NOT shout out things such as " Pitchers got a big butt".... COME ON!

  • Do not send your kids on top of the dug out at the end of the game and have them ask a million times for balls or bats. Leave the players and Bat Boys alone.. Its really annoying.. Its also really annoying for people like me whos season tickets are on top of the dug out.. I don't want to have to wait for your little kid to finally give up on asking for a broken bat and get out of the way to be able to leave my seat.

  • If you are going to put up "K"'s .... be sure you only put up a "K" for the team your cheering for.

  • If you come to an Orem Owlz Game and bring K's to put up.... Well just don't becuase I am the official "K" girl... k?

  • If you are a baseball player... Do NOT wear your pant legs down.

  • Do not bother the pitchers in the bull pen.. even if you see them playing the bubble gum on the hat game or bingo in the dirt... just don't bother them.

THE DO'S OF BASEBALL

  • ALL I repeat ALL baseball players should wear their uniform with their pant legs UP

  • If the song " Sweet Caroline" plays you must sing as loud as you can. Expecially in the " BA BA BA" part and the " SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD" part

  • Do sneek in 7-11 slurpees by hiding them behind your boobs. That also cools you off for about 2 minutes if its hot out.

  • Do pick out the hottest player from the visiting team and distract him all night. Not only does it throw off his game but you may also get a ball at the end of the game.

  • If you happen to sit on top of the dug out and need to get up only get up at the end of the inning or in between pitches so people do not miss anything by you walking in front of them because your on top of the dug out.

  • If you are season ticket holders to any baseball team in any type of leauge... do have a Summer Family.. they are the best.

  • If you decide to take a first date to a baseball game.. be sure you know what your talking about if she asks questions about the game.

  • Everyone should just love baseball. Becuase it is the greatest game ever.

  • If you decide to get drunk at a game... get even more louder and meaner when you heckle. Again. It wouldn't be baseball without it =)

  • If you see someone catch a foul ball clap. If you see someone get hit by a foul ball and they give a sign or something that lets everyone know that they are ok.. clap.. its just the thing to do.

  • If you are a 40 year old and at a baseball game trying to catch a ball and you happen to be sitting by a little kid who so badly wants a ball.... if you get the ball GIVE IT TO THE KID. ... In fact lets make that a baseball rule.. From now on if you get a ball you ALWAYS GIVE IT TO THE KID... inless its the Scotty To Hotty award... you might want to keep that one. Hehe

Owlz Baseball

The season has started and I am so excited. It was so much fun to be surrounded by my Summer family last night at the field. There is no other place in the world that I feel so happy and relaxed at then at the baseball field.
On Tuesday night we drove up to Ogden to watch their opening night game against the Owlz. I had to leave early because I was really sick so a friend drove me home and I ended up in the hospital that night. No fun.

Last night was the Owlz first home game of the Season. It was awesome. Such a close game.. those are the best games! It was kind of a bummer to not have any players living with us that we can cheer for. We had Trevor Pippen the first night but sadly he was released that night. I was really bummed I was really looking forward to getting know him and hang out with him. He lived with us for about a month last summer but that was when the Holli's Great Depression of 08 was taking place and I wanted to be around no one so I didn't get to know him.

I am so happy that the summer has officially started because Owlz baseball is here. I can not express how much I love being around my Summer Family. And the best part so far has been that my dad has been able to go to both the Ogden Game and the Home Game last night!! It was AWESOME!!!

RIP Nick

I know this happend about a month ago and I am a little bit behind talking about it. Yesterday I was listening to the radio while driving to work, and while they were reporting the news I heard that the man who killed the Angels Pitcher Nick Adenhart in the car crash in April from drunk driving is pleading innocent.

This man above was not only drunk but also driving on a suspended licence because of 3 other DUI charges. This car crash not only killed Nick but also 2 other people. He took lives away, and is pleading innocent. It makes me sick to think about it. If there is any justice in the world this man should be put away for life.

I was in the hospital when this happened and when my mom told me I didn't really now how to process it. I was just in shock..It is just so crazy to me that I knew Nick while he played here in Orem for the Owlz. While he was here he hung out at my house.. He ate dinner with us. It is so crazy and so sad.

Nick was just a year younger then I am and he had so much talent. So young and already a starting pitcher for the Anaheim Angels. It just goes to show that life can be taken away so fast. I feel greatful for the oppurtunity to have met and gotten to know Nick. I am so saddened by this but its comforting to know that Nick is with the Anglels now. Rest In Peace Nick.

BASTARDS

No surgery for me. The insurance company decided to wait until 2 days before.. after I had paid for 700 dollars for the surgery... until I was already registered for surgery on Monday to tell me that they don't think its necessary.

No no... working kidneys and bladder is not necessary at all.

So I have to appel it.

That can take up to 12 months..

Please don't talk to me all weekend.

Trust me you don't want to be around me.

Cross your fingers..

Cross your fingers, toes, arms, legs, hair, whatever else you can cross for me that my doctor will hear from my insurance company saying that they approved my surgery by noon today or else no surgery for me on Monday =(

Uh.. kodak moments?

Before I had the trial interstem unit placed in my back because I was not peeing my bladder got so big and distended that I litteraly looked like I was 9 months pregnant. There was a pharmacist who would not fill my perscription because he said I could not be taking it because I was pregnant. I had guests at work ask me how old I was because I looked to young to be pregnant. I was huge.

We took pictures because some days it would be bigger then others so we took the pictures so that we could show the doctor how bad it had gotten. Well, my mom decided to post pictures of me as a freaking fatty fatty 2 by 4 on her blog so I decided that I would just go ahead and post them.

I know how discusting is that?
Anyway... we also obviously took pictures of the stem unit I had to wear... I was suppose to wear it all the way until yesterday ( Monday) but I was so uncomfortable and I felt gross because I couldnt get my back wet so the showers I got to take really did not make me feel clean.. One of the wires started to come out a little bit so we called the Doctor and they just walked us threw how to take them out ourselvs so that is what we did on Friday night. It was almost as scary as the procedure. Having your mom rip out to 18" inch wires that have a thick metal piece connected to it that is sitting on your nerves not even a half an inch away from your spine is a little terrifying. And when you pull them out your nerves freak out its horrible. . My surgery is on Monday and before the surgery I have to go threw that procedure of them sticking the wires and needles in my back and finding the right nerves then they will put me to sleep and they will surgically implant the wire and the little pace maker type thing. Ya.. I'm really looking forward to it......

Here is my little pretend surgical room...... Next week I will be in an actual Operating Room at the surgical center and will be completely under when they go in to implant the device. They will keep me awake threw the beginning of it when they go threw the procedure of finding the right nerves. I have to tell them where I feel it so that they know they are in the right spot. But BELIEVE ME when I say that this time they WILL NOT FORGET TO GIVE ME THE VALIUM FIRST! I have already started the requests of being highly medicaded before they put me to sleep. Wish me Luck on surgery number 31!

This is what the test one looked like

Yeah Don't mind all the blood and discusting bedadine.. Remember I couldn't shower.

This is what I had to wear on my hip for those days.. It was connected to the wires in my back and I could control how high the electricity on my nerves was. The unit that they will place inside me on my hip will be the same thing but only much smaller and round and it will only have 1 wire connected to my nerves instead of one on each side. I will be able to control the electricity on that one with a little remote.

40 Year Old Mathletes

There is a bunch of NERDS here at the hotel. They are here for some Math convintion at BYU. Its horrible. I have to stand at the desk and listen to them talk about their backpacks and e mail accounts. They asked if there was any computer gamer places around here they could go to. Now I am listening to a conversation about a Zombie X Box game that you use sunflowers for sunlight and watermelons for bombs. Uh... WHAT? Sick.

....Akward. . . .Anyway.

So anyone who knows me knows that I have a problem with people leaving me. Anyone who I have ever gotten close to, loved, anything like that. They. All. Leave. Me! Now you know why I no longer get close to anyone, I have trust issues, and I have a Great Wall of China around me and I let no one in.

And now, Its time for someone very close to me to leave me again.

I met Brendon when he started working the Front Desk at the Hotel. Brendon is such an amazing person and means so much to me. He leaves this Wednesday for his mission. He is going to Philly. He is going to make such an amazing missionary I am so excited for him. Things that he has done for me such as, coming over at midnight to give me a blessing because I was so sick and scared. Coming to visit me in the hospital, letting me talk to him when I need advice, Teaching me things about the church and the gospel. He gave me such an amazing Christmas gift that has helped me so much but I will blog about that another time. Those are just a few of his amazing traits that are going to make him a great missionary. He has such a good spirit about him and I am going to miss him so much. He is such a good friend and a great person with such a strong testimony. He will never know how much he has helped me this past year, and he is going to help so many and touch so many lives while he is away in Philly.

On Sunday Meagen and I drove up to Bountifull to go to his Farewell. His talk was so good it blew me away. He did an amazing job. There was SO MANY people there. When they were passing the sacrament they had to go and refill the waters 5 different times, they had the 2 big doors that people come threw open and there was people in chairs all the way threw those doors and down the halls. It was amazing. He is amazing I am going to miss him so much. There was a few other people that drove up from work to his Farewell as well. We were able to take some pictures with him after. In the first picture below it goes from right to left : Katerina, Yours truly ME, Emily, Dennis, and Andy...

Also this weekend Meagen and I were given tickets to go see a Thunder Football game. . . It was fun but I have issues with this whole " Indoor Football" game. My first and biggest issue is.... that its SO DUMB!.. Its not real football. Its only real football when there is a field big enough that makes it a challenge to run to the end of it. This 50 yard football field is ridiculous. Bunch of pansies. They didn't even play with a real Pigskin football (III know your all impressed that I knew that) was really stupid. The fact that some of them don't even wear real football pants with pads they just wear basketball shorts its stupid... Only for the reason that boys with football pants on are nice to look at. Now, I have not danced for about 5 years now but I am pretty sure that their dancers the "Thunderbolts" are seriously lame. If they get paid to do what they do.. and by that I mean do 3 MAYBE 4 25 second dances and 1 cheer the entire game... be the easiest job ever. And I can say that rude comment because I was a dancer and a cheerleader for many years and I know the hard work that goes into but come on. They were seriously lame. The fact that I had to listen to some fruit loop sing " I'm proud to be an American" during half time was .....weird...

Funny thing that happened this weekend. On Saturday night before we left for the football game Meagen text messaged me and said " Do not wear your pink flowey shirt because I am wearing it in white." Okay. Thats fine. She comes to pick me up.. Different outfits but our hair is exactly the same. So then on Sunday our hair is different but wearing the same thing. Pink skirts white shirts. Ha. We are funny.
